The Boston Sports Trail: A Sports-Themed Walking Tour of Downtown Boston

The Boston Sports Trail includes a number of running-related sites. You may purchase a tour book or get info about the sites of interest to you on the interactive map. See #6 (a bronzed pair of Bill Rodgers running shoes), 22 (BAA exhibit of running memorabilia), 23 (Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel hosts the pre-race Mayor's Reception & the awards ceremony for the champions of the Boston Marathon), and 24 (A 15-foot granite medallion embedded on the Boylston Street side of Copley Square marks the 100th Boston Marathon. The medallion includes geographic and topographical maps of the course encircled by the names, countries, and finishing times of all winners since the race's inception in 1897on the map).
